The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) issues Special Permits for regulated uses, considers Variances for proposed exceptions and hears Appeals of the Decision of the Zoning Enforcement Officer.
Forms and instructions for filing are available from the Town Clerk, the Building Department and the ZBA Office. All Variance and Special Permit requests are filed with the Town Clerk's Office in accordance with MGL c.40A. The ZBA process requires an advertised public hearing, as per MGL.
The Zoning Board of Appeals is appointed by the Board of Selectmen. Each member is appointed for a three year term.
