All veterans have the right to apply for benefits.


Application forms for qualified veterans and dependants are available for assistance with education, general living expenses, health insurance, medical expenses, emergency housing, and special needs. Forms must be completed by Veterans’ Officer and are not available to applicants.

Veterans are required to provide copies of birth certificate(s), DD Form 214 (discharge document), income and assets verification, living expenses, medical expenses, and marriage/divorce certificates, as appropriate.

Applications are completed during an interview with the Veterans’ Agent and submitted to the Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services for review.
