Board of Health

The Board of Health helps to protect the health and well-being of Plympton residents. It handles medical issues such as mosquito and tick-borne diseases and Communicable Disease Reporting. Flu shots and nursing issues are handled through a contract with Cape Cod Visiting Nurse Association (VNA): (800) 631-3900.

The Board of Health issues permits for all food service including Food Service Establishment, Retail Food, Farm Stand, Mobile Food Service, Food Truck, etc.  The BOH inspects all permit holders twice per year.

The BOH also issues permits for well installations and septic system installations.  All Septic Installers, Title 5 Inspectors, Septic and Rubbish Haulers are permitted yearly by the BOH.  The BOH also arranges for Percolation Tests.

The BOH enforces the state Food Code, the state Housing Code and Plympton's Title 5 Supplemental Regulations.
