Offer to Post Position Papers

Candidate Position Papers

The Plympton Web Development & Maintenance Committee invites candidates for elected office in Plympton to submit a position paper of up to 1000 words for inclusion on the Town Web site. The paper will afford you the opportunity to communicate issues relevant to your candidacy.

The rules for submission are:

  • Candidates may write about issues and their own individual positions on issues.
  • Candidates may not write about any other candidate or any other candidate's position on an issue. This rule applies whether or not names are used.
  • There is a 1000-word limit on papers from candidates. It will be strictly enforced.
  • The paper can be emailed to the site Webmaster (webmaster@town.plympton.ma.us) or submitted via floppy disk or hardcopy at the Town House Web Committee mail box (inside the Town House).
  • Candidates may also include a small head-and-shoulders .jpg or .gif image of themselves.
  • Papers will be posted as soon as possible after receipt.
  • Papers received after 2:00 PM on the Tuesday preceding the Saturday election will not be posted.

If you provide an email address, we will advise you when your paper has been posted. Please note that all submissions are subject to the Town of Plympton Web site Terms of Use.

Please don't hesitate to contact the Web Development & Maintenance Committee if you have any questions. And thank you for your interest and participation in Plympton government!
