Board of Selectmen Meeting to Participate in the Old Colony Planning Council Workshop

Date:
Monday, October 15, 2018 - 4:30pm

The Town of Plympton is working with Old Colony Planning Council (OCPC), our Regional Planning Agency, through a local technical assistance grant, to conduct public outreach and create a plan to guide future development and improvements to the village center.  The plan will include a review of existing conditions, current zoning and demographics, the results of public outreach as well as goals and strategies for bringing the vision for the village center to life.

Community input is a key part of the planning process, providing an understanding of the community’s character and needs and allowing residents to share historical knowledge and ideas for shaping the future.  Communities that engage their citizens in planning discussions are more likely to achieve long range planning goals.

We are gathering public opinion through a multiple choice survey as well as an open house that will be held on October 15th from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM at the Town House.  We hope you will click on the link below to take the survey and mark your calendar to attend the visioning exercise.  Thank you for your participation.
