Green Reflective Address Signs Available

Have you noticed the green reflective house numbering signs around town? These are sold and installed by the Plympton Fire Department and serve an important purpose in the public safety of the town.

With the growth of the town over the last few years, and the moving of Dispatching to the Duxbury Regional Old Colony Communications Center (ROCCC), Police and Fire need to know exactly where houses are located. This is especially true for houses off of the main roads, such as on retreat lots. Numbers on mailboxes don’t always appear at night and some homes receive their mail at the post office, therefore not having mail boxes.

The goal is to have all homes in town displaying a green reflective house numbering sign. We would encourage all residents to participate in this worthwhile objective.
