Plympton Historical Society

The Plympton Historical Society was organized to assemble, identify, and preserve material concerning the history of Plympton and such portions of adjacent towns that once were part of Plympton. Items of interest concerning its landmarks, its people, their occupations and crafts, their dwellings and possessions, customs and events of their times will be preserved in an interesting and worthy manner.
The PHS Executive Board consists of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Board meets during the year to prepare a calendar of events and programs, to consider questions of policy, to assist in the research of historical data, and to transact the general business of the organization. The Board conducts an annual fundraiser every September as part of its annual calendar.

Membership is open to any interested person at the current dues of $15 per household, $10 for senior households. A general membership meeting is held every November for general business and to elect the slate of officers for the coming year. Membership enables free or reduced admission to most events and programs.

The PHS building is located at 189 Main St. and is open Mondays from 6-8PM and Wednesdays from 1-4PM, except on holidays.
