Q When is Town Meeting?
A. The Annual election of officers shall be held on the third Saturday in May, the Annual Town Meeting for the transaction of municipal business shall be held on the preceding Wednesday. Special Town Meetings are scheduled when necessary by the Board of Selectmen. Municipal By-Laws Article II §1.

Q. How many voters must be present for a quorum?
A. Thirty-five (35) registered voters constitute a quorum. Municipal By-Laws Article III §2.

Q. How does a citizen request a written ballot vote on an article at Town Meeting?
A. A citizen, after being recognized by the Moderator, will make a motion requesting a written ballot on the article being discussed. If a majority of the voters present at Town Meeting vote in favor of a written ballot, the article will then be voted by written ballot. Municipal By-Laws Article III §7.
