Town Administrator

The Town Administrator serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Town, which includes managing all daily operations of the Town and exercising general supervision over all Departments and employees appointed by the Board of Selectmen. 

The Town Administrator is responsible for the preparation and management of the Town's annual operating budget and for working with the local and regional School Committees for inclusion of the education-based budgets into the Town's overall budget.  The Town Administrator works directly with the Finance Committee in developing the budget presentation for Town Meeting and is responsible for the compilation of Articles and preparation of the Annual and Special Town Meeting Warrants.  

The Town Administrator serves in multiple capacities, including: Chief Procurement Officer and responsible for most Town-based purchasing and disposition activities; Human Resources Director and responsible for conducting hiring processes for positions under the purview of the Board of Selectmen; Lead Coordinator of the Town's internal Financial Team and responsible for fiscal outlook and debt structure planning.  Additionally, the Town Administrator serves as a key member of the Emergency Management Team and is responsible for managing various grant programs and coordinating new initiatives, projects and programs. 

The Town Administrator also assists the Board of Selectmen in executing policy in which they set as the Executive Board and Chief Elected Officials and submits recommendations to the Board of Selectmen for necessary policy changes or additions.
