Review minutes from 6/16/2016

=> Vote: Minutes from 6/16 approved as read



* Brief Updates:

1. Nomination of Gavin Murphy to the Open Space Committee

=> Vote to nominate Gavin Murphy to the OSC was unanimously approved

2. Approval of CPC funds from town meeting, need to sign standard CPC contract.  No changes from last contract.

=> Vote to accept the terms of the contract, Article 16, for new open space funds as approved at town meeting.  Unanimously approved.

3. Feedback on the informational session on 6/28

4. Mark Russo went to Land Trust meeting and is planning to report back what he learned



* Open Space Plan, and what much be accomplished by 8/1 when we lose access to Emilie

1. Discussion of vision statement

=> Vote to approve an updated draft of the vision, to include language pertaining to the goal of increased community engagement.  Unanimously approved.

2. Inventory of lands; Emilie working on this and could use help from a member of the committee.  Investigate public land with access to Bonney Pond.  Review five year plan map from last Open Space Plan

3. Need to decide on methods for each goal and objective.  Committee members to work on this, with the goal of drafting it by next week.

4. Need to work on a seven year action plan.  Committee members to work on this, goal to come up with high level document by next meeting

5. Need to update community vision, analysis of needs, and sections 6 & 7.  Committee members to work on this, with Emilie's support.

6. Need photos of open space projects completed since last plan.  Committee members to investigate possibilities.



Upcoming meetings - Agreed to hold next meetings on Thu 7/14, Thu 7/21, & Tue 7/26 to try to make good progress ahead of the upcoming 8/1 deadline.  Linda will post publicly.
